Facility Orientation Program
Description
The orientation program is designed to welcome and inform associates, to make them feel like part of the facility team, and to provide a comprehensive overview of all areas of the facility. By helping each associate understand product flow and their place in the process, orientation emphasizes the impact each individual's performance has on the safety, quality and production of the entire facility.
Method of Instruction
Designed according to the needs of the facility, and may include:
An orientation script will be developed based on interviews with those selected to participate. Visual aids such as power point presentations,
plant product displays, quality problem samples, etc. are suggested. Tests to determine comprehension can be given at the conclusion of the
orientation process.
- 4 - 8 hour session(s)
- Involvement of all levels of management
- Scripted participation for those involved
