Course Description
The American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) has been described as the “Emancipation Proclamation for those with disabilities”. The law prohibits discrimination against anyone with disabilities in employment, public services and transportation, public accommodations, and telecommunication services. This program delves into the law and the employer’s and associate’s responsibilities required by the law.
Method of Instruction
This is an interactive workshop which allows for open discussion and questioning. A pre and post ADA Test will be given to allow participants to assess their knowledge of the law before and after delivery of ADA materials. A DVD presentation is used to reinforce discussion materials. Class and Small Group activities are utilized to support the learning process.
